A stomach ache is maybe a cause due to bacteria, some viral infection, certain medicines, sometimes due to stress, irritation due to chemicals and allergies. People should also realized that self medication like taking pain relievers and antibiotics can also cause stomach pain which is due to mucosal infection that can also be acquired in taking aspirins or anti-arthritic medicines. This may lead into the weakening of the stomach mucosa and becomes effective to viral infection.
Stomach ache can also be due to excessive alcohol intake, bacterial infection or food poisoning. A primarily usual cause of swelling is food contaminated with staphylococci. Whenever these types of bacteria form a toxin in the food and eaten by human, you can already expect food poisoning to occur. The body system is always trying to oppose these intestinal intruders and in doing so the whole intestinal tract contracts faster and harder and these motions are really causing the pain.
To help reduce stomach pain, try curling your tummy with a hot water bottle or a heating pad. The warmth can aid in reducing the cramps and drink a lot of water and take enough rest after it. Avoid eating dairy products or fatty foods when you have a stomach ache. Do not eat raw eggs; make sure to cook chicken and turkey in a high temperature and eat foods that are fresh. Avoidance of foods that are spicy, greasy, oily and rich food that are hard to digest is also important. Do not drink beverages such as alcohol, colas and coffee because the symptoms will really intensify.
Catnip tea is a very useful and soothing remedy of an aching stomach. Put a teaspoon of the leaves of catnip tea in a cup of hot water and allow it to soak for 15 minute before drinking it. This will really reduce the pain that is causing the stomach ache.
